Don't remember the street name, but the non-cable car street that runs by the Mark Hopkins has a VERY steep hill and drop off when crossing California from the Fairmont. Once, on a birthday day for one of my kids, we were on our way to Chinatown for lunch via that hill, and I goosed it just a wee bit as we crossed the intersection..... Cue screams in the back seat as the front of the car dropped down the hill. Snicker. It was a great Mean Mom moment. Better than a roller coaster! I'm also pretty sure they've done it to their friends now that they drive around the Bay Area.

There's a couple streets around Desert Hell just like that. One of them we called "Tickle Hill" back in high school, because going over it, it made it feel like our [ahem] intimate parts were tickling the backs of our throats.Fool me once, shame on you.
