Why do I suddenly have a mental image of one of those crash test dummies, dressed up in motorcycling gear, being dragged behind a car on the highway?
The company who makes Draggin Jeans has promotional video of a person wearing the jeans and being dragged by a pickup and showing how well they hold up. The don't seem to have any up on their site, but the picture on their home page is no joke: Draggin' Jeans

Here's some video on Youtube. Take it for what it's worth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUKzAORD35I

My parents (now 82 & 79) have around 400,000 miles two-up. Their most exciting moment was early on: being charged by a grizzly bear

They also love the BMW full-face helmets because they can be opened & closed while wearing glasses.

I have huge blind spots- I drive an old Explorer.

Which, one of these days, is going to KILL some motorcyclist hiding in my right-hand blind spot, and there's really not a damn thing I can do about it. I signal, do the head-turn-check before merging, but the frame and side of the vehicle can easily hide one of those crotch-rocket-riders.
Respectfully, I disagree. Blind-spot mirrors are dirt-cheap, just stick one on each of your side mirrors and problem solved.

That said, motorcyclists have no less responsibility for their own safety as people in cars and should drive defensively; hanging out in an obvious blind spot is just plain foolish.

          About Draggin' Jeans

The video and the pic are of the founder and inventor of Draggin Jeans. I personally have the Barracuda leather jacket. Nice all year leather jacket.

Wow. People still have blind spots? I situated my mirrors so there are no blind spots around my car.
            I'm bringing disdain back...with a vengeance.

Oh, and your tool box called...you got out again.

My motorcycle riding classses start tonight. I've got my helmet and clothes that I won't mind seeing torn up. Wish me luck!
