Get an AirZound horn and honk back. Those things are at the maximum legal decibel level...
I agree with this. The AirZound is awesome.

I haven't honked at any drivers, because I haven't been honked at in about 3 years. And that was when I was riding in the bike lane, with full lights and a reflective orange safety vest......

I've decided it's safer to just stick to the footpath at night and ride at a slower pace, especially near driveways. If I see peds walking then I will generally go around them, whether that means on the road or off the path. If I see a car reversing out, I stop until they're gone.
If for any reason you're not satisfied with our service, I hate you.

Speaking of Car-Cyclist reactions, remembered seeing a cruiser on Aurora Ave, who pretty much pulled over a cyclist.

This is a road with no bike lanes, and very few places for cars to go...

so what was he probably "stopped" for?

Aurora Ave is part of Highway 99 and in Washington, these particular roads (the clearly marked/urban ones, I seriously doubt a cyclist is gonna ride some of the roads designated as such such as 202 or 203 with their 5 miles of 5% grade downhill/uphill) are well off-limits to anything but motor vehicles, some even had a "freeway" type section so they can do this.

Yes Seattle is supposed to be cycle friendly, but damn, do we get the cycle jerks (critical mass anyone?)

      yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah....
