So today's driving lesson had a few disasters. Besides me leaving too little gap when pulling out onto a main road, I also encountered a sighting.
I should also explain as well, that these are lessons with my dad, not paid lessons with an instructor. This is legal in Australia and is in fact a requirement for our P Plates (we're required to build up between 50 and 100 hours of driving with supervision, doesn't matter if it's paid or not.).
as I'm doing a turn through a subdivision (there's a mix of subdivisons and side streets around my area), someone in a rather large station wagon (not an SUV, basically built more like a minivan) decides that it's a brilliant idea to cut the corner, leaving me to swerve to avoid them...
...and subsequently hitting the curb.
Thankfully I didn't hit anyone, but honestly....do you not SEE that I had L-Plates on my car?
