Regardless of the exact numbers, the cyclist who gets hit by a tractor-trailer is going to be a red smear on the pavement. And even if the trucker had the right of way, the poor soul is going to feel horrible for killing someone.
And even if the cyclist was in the right, they'll lose to physics. Sometimes you have to be extra careful on your bike, even if you are in the right.
The Rich keep getting richer because they keep doing what it was that made them rich. Ditto the Poor.

Exactly what I've been trying to point out in this thread. -.- Is it really worth it to be right, if you're DEAD RIGHT?

Saw an idiot bicyclist today. There was a nice big, smooth bike path next to the road, and the idiot was riding in the road with many patches. And the other idiot in front of me didn't want to pass him, until I beeped him.

Some people forget (maybe on purpose) that a bicycle is a vehicle & are subject to the same rules & regulations that motorized vehcles must follow.
Most but not all-some do not apply-like for example the "slow moving vehicle law" applies to motorized vehicles but not bicycles-there are others-and there are laws that only apply to bicycles-check first before declaring you "know the laws"
Honestly.... the image of that in my head made me go "AWESOME!"..... and then I remembered I am terribly strange.-Red dazes
