Beep Beep!!

So today I was out in Kent CT. not too much out that way. I get that its fall and people are there to see foliage...which isnt that impressive this year. So I wasnt too surprised to see a lot of people at the bridge I was seeing

Its a covered bridge, one lane. Theres enough room for a car to go through and people to walk across it. My mom and I were walking through the bridge, and all of a sudden someone beeps. it scared me because i thought i was going to be hit, but the old fart drives past me, with PLENTY of room. like seriously...i was walking along the wall of the bridge, you werent near me...why beep? i know you were there.

we take a few photos, and walk back to the car and leave. instead of dealing with that bridge again , we go the other way, and find another one lane (not covered) bridge. there are people walking along the other side, and the car on the other side of the bridge got there first, so i stopped so they could go. they are almost done crossing, and i hear a BEEEP. again...the person behind me honked at me. what was i supposed to do? run the other car off the bridge and run over people? i couldnt go...jerk!

Ah yes, one lane anythings around here are always fun, aren't they? But then, people around here are always impatient with everything. I think that's why I had to import my fiancé from the Midwest.

you know this reminds me of one of the small car bridges at the botanical gardens back in VA

it was on a hill so the rule was you had to honk before going up - so that you could alert oncoming traffic and pedestrians of your approach, because it was pretty much a blind hill.
