  • Bullseye on my vehicle?

Starting to wonder. Today has been a very .. odd day. Returned back to college after the holidays, and I was >.< close to being convinced somebody had secretly painted a bullseye on my vehicle. In the space of two hours thirty minutes(two hours of which had me safely in the confines of a class room)...the following happened.

Two cars ran red lights ..which if I had not been paying attention would have had my vehicle wrapped around theirs as they hit me in the side.

One Sunday driver (didn't have the heart to tell them it was monday), who decided 30 was ok in a 55 mph zone.

Three lane changers who apparently I was in the blindspot of...one right after another. Don't know if the back two were following the first, or what..but I had to slam on the brakes three times in a row.

And finally something I like to call 'The dance'. See it is when you get to a stop sign, and another person does as well..only they also have a yield sign on their side. You start to pull out, they start to pull out. You stop, they stop. You wait for a second to see if they are going to go, they wait. You go, they go. You stop, they stop. Arrrrggghh!
Engaged to the amazing Marmalady. She is my Silver Dragon, shining as bright as the sun. I her Black Dragon (though good honestly), dark as night..fierce and strong.

This happens to me so damn much I've just taken to stopping completely until the other person just goes. It actually takes less time that way

You and me likewise. I actually had to do that today. Came to an intersection between two one-way streets, each with a stop sign, at the same exact time as a car to my right. He had right-of-way, so I stayed stopped. So did he. I gestured for him to go, and he just stared at me. I didn't budge, and he eventually went(probably a matter of seconds, but that feels like forever in driving time).

I might have just gone, but the way my luck goes, as soon as I moved he probably would have too and the dance would've started.

I felt that way when I was making a legal U turn at the left arrow, and someone ran the light and made a right turn just as I was making my U turn so I stopped briefly. If I hadn't been paying attention, they would have hit me. As I was the second car, there was still plenty of time for the others behind me to make their turn.
