On occasion I fire up the ol' scanner and listen to some of the activity from the dispatch center for the area fire/EMS calls and several local police depts.
I just heard a call around 2:45 AM for a nearby town, car vs. pole or wall or something hard and immoveable.
After dispatching police, fire and EMS to the scene, they report that the caller called back. They only want a tow truck and ambulance, no police.
Sure. And i'm sure the cops will readily agree to ignore a car crash down the road from a bar.
