Drama at the gas station

Posting on behalf of Hubs. He was driving to work the other day, waiting at an intersection, and saw a car just stopped at the next intersection in front of the gas station. They seemed to be talking to a pedestrian, so he sat and waited to see what would happen (since they were blocking his path).

All of a sudden, the pedestrian grabbed the car door handle. The car sped off around the corner. The pedestrian held on for a bit before losing his grip. He had a very angry look on his face after the drive-off.

I wish I could have been a fly on the wall...er, in the car...to learn what prompted those events.
