  • Karma's a bitch!

Driving home from work today, stuck in traffic as usual, I saw a beige minivan roar down the breakdown lane, bypassing the traffic.

Now, it's one thing to skip the last 100 yards before the exit ramp (which I also hate), but this guy was not doing that. It was 1.25 MILES to the next exit.

Well gee, I thought, I sure hope there's a cop in the traffic ahead.

I'll be damned....blue lights just over the crest of the next hill....could it be???

    YES!!!!

That very same asshole had been pulled over.

Or just point and laugh loudly at the schmuck as you drive past.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

A friend of mine actually hung out of my van window and yelled "Sorry about your dick" to the guy in a similar situation years ago.

I'm glad I wasn't going very fast, I'd have wrecked from laughing.

Got to see that once too.

We were stuck in traffic and there was a police car in the next lane with a large truck behind her.

The truck was big enough that the guy driving in the breakdown lane didn't see her until too late...for him anyway.

We watched him oh-so-casually pull back into traffic, probably hoping the officer didn't notice.

She did. She put on her lights but also put on her PA so everyone heard her...

"You there in the beige Buick, please pull into the breakdown lane and stop. [beat] You know, the lane you were just driving in."

          It was funny as hell.

            I did.

With the windows UP mind you, lest the state trooper come looking for me next.
