Saw this unfold Friday night, while driving home from work.
I'm sitting at the light across from the Allegheny County Airport, waiting for the light to change so I can turn left. Ahead of me, is the airport entrance, which is a 4-lane, divided road. There's a tree-lined median strip down the middle, which has gaps to allow cars to turn into the various lots. As usual, traffic on the main road (which I'm waiting to turn onto) is heavy. Not surprising, since it's about 6pm, on Friday. But, what happened at 6:01 truly blew my mind.
A woman, in a red Chevy Cobalt pulled up in the left-turn lane on the main road (which is also a four-lane, divided highway), wanting to turn into the airport. No big deal, except for what she did. Rather than turn into the entrance...she actually came forward, missed the entrance, and somehow managed to turn into the exit
How the hell did she do that? As if that wasn't enough...she then pulled into one of the median gaps...nearly hitting two cars (a big Buick and a Cadillac), who had come in properly 
What really took the cake, is instead of reversing, and then coming out the exit...she waited for the two GM offerings to go past her, and then pulled up into the entrance! She's on the wrong side of the road, and as soon as the light turned green...she pulled right out in front of me to turn right
When she did that, all was revealed. Not only was she an idiot...but she was on the damn phone too! I sure hope that call was as important as she made it--was it really worth nearly causing several accidents? Seriously, get off the effing phone!
