Well, there's the infamous incident at a hotel (I forget whether it was a kink convention or an SF convention) where they had to evacuate a floor. And led to the warning "Fire sprinklers are not suitable for use as suspension points".

Yup. Someone tried it, the sprinkler broke and that triggered all of them on that floor. Lots of *very* unhappy people.

SF con, specifically Disclave 1997. Immortalized in multiple songs, even.

I believe I was at that con, but I was not the type to get invited to that kind of party...sadly.

I'm the manager of an adult novelty store. I know from experience that the customers who inhabit these places (outside of couples looking to spice up their bedroom life), are nothing but the most lowdown, dirty, creepy, cheap bastards in the entire universe.

On the opposite side of the kink/fetish/porn groups, I've had a few at hotels I've worked at. The management assumed they would be awful, but they were the cleanest, friendliest, most considerable groups we ever had.

The worst? Church groups, every time.

I would say there are two reasons for this

1. The fetish groups tend to be better because they are not repressing anything and live happy, healthy lives.
2. If they are not clean and considerate, they have a hard time finding venues. Cause lets face it, if a church group makes hell in one place, some other poor sucker will always fall for the "It's a church group, how bad can they be?"

You'd likely love what I did to a guy at an event a few years back (and yes, I admit that I stole the idea). I was en femme. I'm more the grandmother type that the hot babe type, but whatever.

This guy was paying *way* too much attention to my cleavage. So I reach into my bra, dug out the breast forms and handed them to him with a "Here, when you're done staring, bring them back." and turned back to the folks I'd been talking to.

Several of the women wished they could deal with it that way. :-)
