When I went to an out of town college 35 years ago, I lived off-campus in an apt building. Most of the rooms were designed with a small kitchen, a smallish living room, a small bathroom and 2 bedrooms (smallish with 2 beds and 2 smallish closets. They were designed for up to 4 people (2 to a bedroom)
Most of my stuff like clothes, cookware, bedding, small TV,etc. could be hauled in 2 car loads (nice small midsized car from the mid 1970's).
