I guess I should keep the accounts I have, then? I really don't see what my credit score has to do with my checking account. I don't run it into the ground or overdraw it. Weird.

With my bank, we look at not just credit score, but whether the customer has collection and/or late payments on their credit report. That sort of thing is an indicator of how the customer handles their finances, and thus, whether they're likely to be overdrawn. But again, each bank is a little different."I look at the stars.
