I use Tracfone, and I've found that if the phone itself is bad, I was able to return it to the Big Box Store I got it from for a replacement (not a refund) within seven days if I had all the packaging and a receipt. They wouldn't take a phonecard back, but I just called Tracfone itself to have my minutes transferred over to the new phone after explaining the problem. Same with a lost phone. Not only did they handle the transfer politely and efficiently, they gave me extra minutes for the trouble of dealing with a broken phone.

The Mama Drama was definitely over the top. Was Sir Cusses Alot demanding a refund only, or did the option of a replacement ever come up? Did he have all his packaging and receipts and such?

I was incorrect on my first post. Very recently we were given the okay to refund Tracfone phones. The airtime cards are still non-refundable.

So what apparently happened was the service desk did refund on the phone, but not on the airtime card per policy. Leading to the profane vocal ejaculations mentioned.
