I was referring to the latter one/d.a.d. ^_^ No worries, I am disturbingly familiar with all four books in the trilogy, as are many of our other members Yes, there are only four. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
Yes, yes, a thousand times YES! In CatHerderverse, "So Long and Thanks For All the Fish" is the last book of the series, and Arthur and Fenchurch live happily ever after (and do lots of flying).
O hai, I'm back. BTW, tomorrow (November 3) is my birthday
The hotels here put X's next to where you need to sign in front of you when they get the room booking form out and then say sign by the X's. Probably still won't stop everyone though.
I am so SO glad I was not present for this. There would have been an unpleasant duct tape incident. - Joi
One day I'm going to build the dream hotel. It's going to have two floors, with the restaurant and check in on the bottom, and all rooms with private elevators on the 2nd. Every room is going to have views of Mt Fuji, Kilimanjaro, the Kakadu, the Grand Canyon, the Eiffel Tower, and the Taj Mahal and the Himalayas. A casino will be on the roof, magic elves will serve the customers every whim, and young nubile attendants will be available.
I'll make a fortune . . . .
Don't forget both the Sydney Opera House and Uluru (Ayer's Rock).
Seshat's self-help guide:
1. Would you rather be right, or get the result you want?
2. If you're consistently getting results you don't want, change what you do.
3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.

Reading this story makes me glad that I was ALWAYS nice to the clerks at the hotels I checked into! Gave them some good online reviews as well! Hope that makes up in some small way for the nightmare customers you guys get!

Happy birthday! Welcome back! And yes, there are only 4 *true* books. Now I wonder whether my uncle and cousin were trolling me when they pretended to be unaware of further books in the series...

Luckily, the jackwagons I post about on here make up a very tiny percentage of all the guests I get. Most people are cheerful and friendly, or at least neutral. In fact, if someone tells me they were here last year and I checked them in, and I don't remember them, I just smile and think to myself "That means you were a normal person and didn't try to rip my face off, then."

I do put down X's, but some of them need initials and some need signatures, so I kind of have to point. And I'd rather keep my fingers out of their way - some people sign violently! It has been helpful to hand people one pen and then point with another, but some people still don't take the hint.
