Apparently Florida has acid rain. It stormed today and I was coming in to take over a register from another cashier. While we were switching out (couldn't have been more than a minute, if that - you have to sign off/on the register, blah blah) this bitchy woman in line pipes up with "Can we get this going any faster? I've been waiting in this line forever and I'd like to get out of here before it rains (newsflash: it was already raining by then) and I get soaked!!"
Lucky me, I had to wait on her since she was my next crapstomer, and she went on to whine about how the preceding cashier (my poor sweet older coworker, who unfortunately seems to be a magnet for SCs) was sooooooooooo sloooooooow (I've seen said coworker in action and she ain't that slow) and taking forever to ring people up and all. I just ignored her.
But oh, how I wish I had an invisible force field that I could turn off/on at will, so I could render myself invisible to the SC, so I could for once hold my hand up proudly in full view to administer the unifingered salute...instead of silently flipping them off beneath the counter where they can't see it.
