  • sarcasm dripping with honey = still rude

I was in the girls' dept folding clothes when a woman asked about Christmas dresses. I wasn't sure because I don't generally work in clothes so I told her they would be at the edge if we have them and pointed. She said there weren't any and I said "I'm not sure where else they'd be if not there." I guess I should've said "We're out" & left it at that. She turned on her heel & said she'd ask someone else, saying "...so you can keep folding your clothes." It was sarcastic and overly cheerful. She asked my coworker who showed her what I was referring to in the first place.
"Is it hot in here to you? It's very warm, isn't it?"--Nero, probably

Sarcasm is worse! I use sarcasm very easily, so I also am sensitive to it because I know the intent behind it. If that makes sense at all. That lady hit a bunch of SC hallmarks. Sarcasm, asking multiple employees the same question, and not following directions.
Replace anger management with stupidity management.
