    No. That's accusing her of a crime and you have no right to do that.

    I get that you're frustrated, but the store has LP for a reason. Let them do their job. They'll get her eventually.

One way my manager at Jeers dealt with this was to allow the "store credit" return, but as soon as the customer walked away, hit the "void last transaction" button the register, draining all the ill-gotten money off the gift card the customer just received. When confronted, she'd say "I'm sorry, our system only allows so many no-receipt returns. You must have hit the limit."
      My store has a great option for this called a "refund voucher." If we think a return is hinky, we do a refund voucher. All the customers information gets taken down and our head office mails them a cheque... AFTER loss prevention has a good long look. If they're honest they get their money. If not, we have their information. Win-win!
