Reading that article reminded me of why we had to take away the tractor key from Grandpa. (81 yo. man forgot to put down the bed of the dump truck)

He ran into a windmill with a tractor, head on, not just barely clipping. He was 85 when we took away the keys. One of the hardest things my father had to do.

My mom was 80. I wasn't there but I heard the story from all three of my siblings who were.

Mom ran her car up over the curb of the parking lot and (lightly) into someone's garden shed. When Chuck and Ed got there, Mom was sitting in the cop car being comforted by my sister Theresa.

Apparently it wasn't at all hard for Ed to take the keys away. He just went over and talked to the cop, got in the car and drove it away.
