I want my 45 minutes back.
You have completely and utterly wasted nearly an hour of my time, refusing to answer my security questions, ranting and raving about what terrible people we are because we have taken steps to protect your credit card. No, you cannot be 'unselected' for a verification. No, this is not customer service, I am not expected to kiss your lily white lazy ass. No, I will not put minutes on your phone just because you've yelled, cussed, threatened my job, my company, and my police record. No No No. Get over yourself and get a life, there must be much more interesting things to do than yelling at some anonymous person over the phone who could give a rat's ass who you know or what kinds of trouble you seem to think you will rain down on our heads for *daring* to inconvenience you. In fact, taking up 45 nminutes of my time has caused all the people in the calls behind you to have to wait even longer to get their orders through. And that is entirely your fault. I hope you're proud of yourself.
My newest pet peeve.
it's been brewing for a while, I get it all the time---people who expect us to parent their children. It is not our fault your 15 year old stole your credit card and spent the gas bill money. It is your responsibility to parent your children. That's right, YOURS. Why is this such a shocking idea? How exactly is it our fault, and why are we expected to give the money back when your kid has used the minutes they bought? No it was not a mistake. Your child willfully placed this order, behind your back, and then used the time up. The fact that you didn't give him permission does NOT absolve you of responsiblility for your demon spawn's actions.
Growing up, I would have never taken money from my parents wallets, ever ever ever. And you wanna know why? Because I KNEW EXACTLY what would happen to me if I did. I would not have seen the lights of day for MONTHS, my parents would have KILLED ME!!!!! I woulda had the phone taken away, been grounded for months, and ordered to pay the money back through my after school job. I also would have had to deal with my father's utter wrath over disrespecting my Mother (or him) like that. Life would have been miserable for at least a semester, and at 15, that just seems like eternity. At 15, I had been given enough parenting that I knew better than to pull crap like that.
