Those of you who have read my 12 pains of customers thread will probably know about how one customer asked about the transparent domes around the mannequins. Well sit tight 'cause I'm about to tell you the story.
This elderly woman comes up to me and informs me that the domes around the mannequins are missing.
I was training a new employee at the time, and the employee gives her a strange look and tells her that the mannequins don't have any domes around them. The woman keeps insisting to the employee that she is wrong and the mannequins have transparent domes around them. I then step into the conversation. I told her that the material used to make these domes were so flimsy and fragile that they tore easily. And because they were so transparent that they were practically invisible, it would sometimes take months before anyone relizes the domes are damaged. I told her that this morning, the manager relized the domes were extremely damaged. He took them down and ordered some new ones which would be put up in a week or so. The woman thanked me for explaining it to her so kindly. Then went on her merry way. The trainee and I looked at each other and burst out laughing.
