At our store we have a loyalty card, and you get points for buying certain items. These items change from week to week, and you can get them listed on your phone app, or (as in my case) check them on your home computer.
I've asked Clueless Customer for her loyalty card.
She hands it over but says she never seems to get any points here! She seems puzzled.
I try to explain about the app, and the "loyalty items."
She nods but just keeps talking. I keep trying to explain.
Finally she pays.
"Did I get any points?"
I squint at the tiny print. "I don't think so."
"See?? No points! Ever!"
And off she goes.
She wasn't grumpy or surly or unpleasant at all about it. But I just couldn't seem to get through to her that you have to buy the "loyalty items" to get points ...
