Me: Your total is $374.29.
Her: Alrighty, that'll be credit.
Me: OK
Her: (digging through her purse) ...it's in here somewhere
*3 minutes later*
Her: I left my wallet at home. Can I go grab it?
Me: How far away do you live, exactly?
Her: About 20 minutes
Me:
How many times has this situation occured? Some guy/girl comes in, buys a TON of stuff, and then somehow remembers at the very end of the transaction that they need their wallet to pay.
The ONE thing that is abolutely necessary for:
1. Legally driving a car (if you keep your license in said wallet, which is what 99% of the population does)
2. Getting what you need at the grocery store
is left at their house.
Unfortunately I don't have the ability to store a transaction; I have to close my entire register down, close off the people behind me, direct them all to other lanes, and then go bag until the person gets back.
