I'm 5ft 9in in flats, and hotel showerheads are usually too low for me, but lucky for me, the ones I've stayed in mostly have been adjustable. Cept for the Holiday Inn I went to in May, but the rest of the bathroom was fine, especially the fluffy towels; no way I'd ever be that petty.

And the breakfast idiot deserves nothing more than a letter saying "I'm sorry alright... sorry your mother didn't drown you at birth"; or at least, the polite equivilent.

You can't possible mount a showerhead to make everyone happy. If you mounted it high to make me happy, all the short people of the world would complain that it's too high for them to reach.

I'm 5 feet tall. When my dad remodeled the house, he installed my shower head to fit me. Now, whenever my boyfriend is over and we take a shower together, he has to detach it to use it. The shower head comes to about his nose in height. Or when my best friend, Justin, is over he has to sit down in the tub. He's like 6'4" I think.

I'm a freak at 6'5". There is no way I can be comfortable in a hotel shower. I really should just give up on ever getting one that fits, and just start taking baths only in hotels... Or warn the counter ahead of time that there will be water all over the bathroom from adjusting the shower head to get my hair clean.

We received notification from our corporate headquaters that you were unsatisfied with your stay at [out hotel]. Specifically with the complimentary breakfast service and the shower in your bath.

First let's address the bath issue. You expressed concern that the shower head was "too low." You are the only person who has mentioned this issue. We have made note of it and will be sure to give it the priority it deserves next time we renovate the plumbing in our guest baths.

The other issue was that you were unable to note the hours of our complimentary breakfast service. Apparently the signs in our lobby, your room and the dining area were inadequate in some way. We would be happy to address this issue if you would be kind enough to elaborate in what way the signage was not sufficient. Perhaps we need a larger font? Better lighting? Alternative formats? Other languages? Please let us know how we can improve the signage.

I only complained at a hotel once - but it did involve showers partly. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor!!!! THEN, they came to fix it, and the next day I turned it on and had the shower door open for a moment - well some idiot had swiveled the shower head to point DIRECTLY at the door - so of course, water all over again. Also - the blinds were these itty bitty white things and I felt very exposed..... I didn't see any way to lower any other blinds or curtains down or anything like that...... of course, I didn't ask, b/c I just assumed you couldn't - that was my own mistake.

Lastly, the freakin hotel wanted to charge me $5.00 to use the Internet and then wanted to charge me every page I printed....... now I understand if someone was gong to be on the Internet for a long period of time and was keeping others from using it, then you might start charging - but SOOO many hotels offer free internet or at least have a business room you could use your keycard to get into and use for a minute's time. All I wanted to do was check my freakin bank account b/c I didn't know that when you check into the hotel and use a debit card they charge you double b/c they "hold" the extra funds - that's fine if you have the extra funds, but if that's all you had for your vacation and now they're "holding" it..... that just seems ludicrous to me. I also wanted to check on our flight time..... I think they did change it so that if you were printing something out that dealt with your return flight, you didn't have to pay for the papers you printed - but you still had to pay $5.00 - hmm or maybe $7.00 to use the Internet - even if you were on it for under 3 minutes (which I was). And this was supposedly a really nice hotel.... ended up not being so nice - and the room was really cramped too... like not a lot of room to move around at all.......

Unfortunately, something trivial as apology letter could mean the difference between having a franchised hotel and having an independant. We have too much invested in our property to risk that. I hate it though, having to actually apologize to a dumb fuck.

Is it possible to accidentally get the address a digit off so maybe he won't get it, or does it have to go through corporate so they know you sent it?
