  • HHHZ Quicky:....................What?

One day I was serving this woman who didn't know much english, after she paid for her merchandise and so on she starts asking me a question...

    Lady: <undicipherible accent> Payment <undicipherable accent>
    Me: I'm sorry
    Lady: <Undicipherible accent> Payment <undicipherable accent>
    Me: Payment what??
Lady: Nevermind I'll just go to courtesy
    Me: HWat dud you need?
Lady: That's ok I'll just go to courtesy.

Boy do I suck at understanding people with accents!
Providing Excellent customer service and Filtering out nonsense people.

I have the same problem, and unless they're asking me questions I just kinda say "uh huh, oh yeah," I don't understand, I can decypher anything that one of my Special Olympics kids say, but you give me an accent other that North American, and I'm lost.

If it makes you feel better, I have a hard time understanding my family's accents from time to time

Usually when I am serving customers in person and I seriously cannot understand them at all, I get them to point. Sounds degrading but it saves so much time in my environment (fast food).

But honestly no idea what that customer could have been talking about.
