When I lived in Tucson, there was, and still may be, a Motel called the "No-Tel Mo-tel that catered to Tucson's gay community. It was actually a nice looking place, at least from the street.
Makes you shudder to think what goes on in there.I feel crazy. Like I'm drunk and trapped in a water globe and someone won't stop shaking it.

There's one about a ten-minute drive from where I live. Hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly rates. It's often used as an apartment for people who are on the state dollar but are sort of "in between" legitimate housing.Ma'am, I could care less about the time your precious Fifi found a baby squirrel and raised it as her own, I just want to know if you've ever been told you had diabeetus.

When I was a kid in Connecticut, there were ads on TV for a motel near the center of the state. Their ads were promoting the place as a "romantic getaway", showing off such features as their mirrored ceilings and the "love tub" available in some rooms.
I'm sorry, that should be the "looooove tub". (Along with 5 secs of video of a couple taking a bubblebath and toasting with champaign glasses.)
Anyway, near the end of the ad they mentioned "hourly rates".
That was usually when my Dad would start laughing.

Quoth JustADude View PostThey (the real bums) are living down at Tiers 1&2 of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Those being Biological Needs and Safety.
Purple Monkey: Maslow's Hierarchy is a great tool for understanding people, including yourself. Other great tools are Piaget's stages of child development, and Kohlberg's stages of moral development.
I don't agree completely with any of the three, but they're very handy approximations.Seshat's self-help guide:
1. Would you rather be right, or get the result you want?
2. If you're consistently getting results you don't want, change what you do.
3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.
