We have a new return policy where I work that is 30 days, this started Aug. 1st. Before it was 60 days, so we have to look at the receipt and see when it was bought. If it was before Aug. 1st then they have 60 days, if it was after then it is 30 days.
Today I have this "lady" come in and walk up to the counter and throw her returns at me and say" I want to return these" (all the while acting like she is better then me) now I have to say that I just got done unloading 32 feet of freight that we have to do by hand. She wanted to return a tealight holder and a reed diffserer.
I looked at the box that was smashed to all hell and then looked at her receipt. It was dated 05/10/07. That is more then 60 days! I tell her that I cannot take this back and she says"I am a regular customer!" I tell her it is company policy and I cannot take it back.
She then gets even more mad and says " This is a stupid policy and I will never shop here again!" I again tell her that it is company policy. She then asked me if I was a manager and I tell her yes I am one of them. She then said to just keep it. I tell her ok. She then says no, she wants it and she is never shopping here again and our policy sucks.
Now if she would have been nice and not looked down on me like she was better then me then I would have returned it. I don't like people that think they are above everyone else. I mean the box was so smashed you could tell that it had been sitting in her car for the past 4 months!
Maybe I was being mean but I did follow policy and if you want something then maybe you shouldn't treat people like you are better then them.
So I just have to say: "I win!" you go away and I will still sleep tonight.
