And I'm definitely tired of seeing people abuse their games in general. I'm very picky about trade-ins and quick to charge a refurbishing fee. Take care of your stuff!
No kidding! I sometimes buy used CDs, and I've gotten some that look like they've been scrubbed with a wire brush. Sometimes they play okay, usually they don't. I know buying used CDs is a crapshoot, but honestly, taking care of CDs is not rocket science, people! You hold it by the edges, keep food, drinks and other messy things away from it, clean it periodically, put it in the case when you're done with it, and don't use it as a frisbee / coaster / pizza cutter / dog chew toy!
Or zap in a microwave for about 10 (I think) seconds (stand disc up in an upside-down soda bottle top with a groove cut in it, and make sure the microwave has a clear door and is one you're willing to sacrifice if something goes wrong). Fun zing of sparks and you get squares etched into the disc.
