SCs in the Winter!

Made for great fort material. The pile would end up being taller than me, and already tightly packed, so all we had to do as kids was carve out a few tunnels and we were set.

We did this one year! The snow plow piled all the snow from the cul-de-sac right in front of the circle so that the cars had maximum efficiency getting out of the driveways and leaving. Pretty nice of him, although I didn't notice at the time. No, what I noticed is that there was a huge long stack of snow. My cousin, my sister and I all bundled up and set to with garden trowels. We probably spent two whole hours chipping away at the ice--not bad for 7,8,9 year-olds.

We had a tunnel that I could lie down in and only my feet would stick out. Until my 7-year-old sister got bored and started walking on top of the snow. She walked too far out and landed on my stomach.
