So these folks aren't really customers because it was a free event. But they still sucked.
Backstory: My friend is a RA in a building that decided to throw a (very impressive) Halloween party for the university at their quad. One of the things they had set up was a haunted house. Last minute, one of the actors dissappeared, so she asked me to fill in. My job was to jump out from behind a door when the guides led a group into my "room", shriek/ scream bloody murder and silly string the group. This was mostly awesome, minus a few incidents.
1) There's somone behind the door!
Sometimes when groups came in, someone would push against the door i was hiding behind and realize that it wouldn't go all the way back to the wall. Following this discovery, the group (usually boys) would slam their body weight against the door while shouting like monkies. The doorknob would go into my stomach, which now has a bruise larger than a grapefruit. On one occaison, the lacross team decided to slam against the door. I had to be rescued by a guide.
2) I had things set up on chairs to try to keep people from going behind the door before i could scare them. As I was a last-minute add-in, i had to use props from my own costume. A girl grabbed my hat and bag (containing cell, keys, and ID) and ran out of the room. Ten points to my friend M, who ran after her and grabbed it back.
3) One of the actors was tied up in rope and a straightjacket as part of her costume. When people came around her corner, she's scream and roll around and shout random things. She was actually TIED up, as part of her costume. A guy decided he would SIT on her and start grabbing her. We had to tear him off of her, but he ran. Bastard.
