4 Day Sale Item Not in Stock

Today, a customer wanted a raincheck for an item not in stock. I saw that it was part of our 4 day sale which ended yesterday so I told him that I need to go find out the current price. The customer said that we didn't have the item we wanted and he wanted a raincheck for it. I kept mentioning that I would have to check the shelf for the current price and the customer decided it wasn't worth talking to me about it and wanted me to get someone else.

I called the head cashier over and informed him of the situation. He let me write a raincheck for the customer with the price of the 4 day sale.

Honestly, I don't think the guy deserved a raincheck, because the sale ended YESTERDAY. Rainchecks are for customers who make a special trip in to buy a sale item IN THE TIME PERIOD of said sale only to find that the item is not in stock.

But sometimes it's just better to give SC's what they want to shut them up and get them the hell out of the store.
