What have people tried to bribe you with over the years to get you to give/sell them things? Some underage kid tried to get me to sell him cigs by offering me hamburgers...

Just about every sexual fantasy in the books. By people too stupid to come in BEFORE closing time for beer. It's ILLEGAL for me to sell after 2:30 people!

    - Both by girl and guy . I will fully admit that some of the girls were very very pleasing on the eye, but where ether far to stupid or sluttly for my taste.

Money. Lots and lots of money. One time was offered a 1000 dolalrs to sell him a dollar beer. Even had the cash all laid out. It was still past 2:30, so I still said no.

Drugs. Mostly pot, but since I don't DO drugs I kinda just laugh in their face. They always seem shock. (BUt you got long hair maaaaan!). (Its to my shoulders. Not long at all IMO)

The one that came the closest was the girl who offered me a Batman cape/cowl that she made. OMG it was so freaking awsome looking. She only had a expired ID. I wish I took it ><.

When I was at the arcade, I had people offer me cash for rolls of tickets a few times. No way I was gonna take that...$30 isn't worth my job. I also had people offer me cash for ticket prizes, which I absolutly could not do - not only did we not have a retail liscence, our lease also prohibited us from doing direct sales.

I can see people thinking they might get away with that. I never thought of it myself, but I can see people thinking if it takes <X> amount of tokens to get <Y> amount of tickets, and the item costs <Z> amount of <Y>, it could average out to a decent profit on your half.

Say you pay 10 bucks for that Big Teddy, that you put on for a 1000 tickets. Each token costs a quarter. It takes Two tokens to play game, that on average give five tickets. 10 tickets cost a dollar. Sooo, 1000 tickets would be a 100 dollars. Granted no-one would pay a 100 dollars for a teddy bear, but that's a pretty big markup profit there.

Holy crap math came in handy for once O_O.

oh i get bribes all the time... my favorite is people who will promise to pay me $100 when they get to the hotel if I get them a room on a sold out night... hmm, i'm so tempted... being located anywhere from 500 to 2500 miles away (depending on location, but the closest that forwards calls to my center is 500 miles away).

With the value of the dollar today, that's like 85 bazillion in cash! I would have done it in a heartbeat!

Wait - they were going to give you $50 in return for a Wii or they were giving to give you a $50 "bonus" for selling them a Wii?

I can't imagine anyone is stupid enough to do the first, but then I've done customer service, so....

As a magician, I have occasionally been offered bribes in exchange for telling someone the secret of a trick. One guy in particular stands out. He offered me "cash" if I told him the secret. I told him that for the right price, I would teach him how to do it. He said he didn't want to learn how to do it himself, but if I would tell him the secret, he would give me $1,000.

He said this with a straight face.

With an equally straight face I said, "They say everyone has their price. It's true. And for $1,000 I would certainly tell you how that trick is done. But not until AFTER the check cleared!"

He never DID learn the secret.

It's sad when I can't find a post I posted JUST YESTERDAY about this. I can't remember AT ALL where I put it. But anyway, yeah, some guys tried to bribe me for alcohol when I was working at a gas station. I'll try to find it and link it.

I've had people try to bribe me to let them into movies without tickets, into movies they're too young to watch, etc.

I think the best is the guy who tried to offer me $20 to let him and his 2 friends into a sold-out show. 20 minutes late. I was soooo tempted to take it, as it would be hilarious watching him and his friends go in, find out there was no room, and the movie had already started, come out, and demand their bribe back. And for the record, that $20 plus a bit more would have gotten him into the movie legitly. Just would have meant waiting in a line.

I have been offered the following.

Sexual favors (99% of them being girls 1% being a gay guy.)

Money. Highest was $2,000 (For a lousy parking spot? Jeez!) Lowest was $5. I used to tell people who bribed me this: "Do I look like a politician?"

                              Tickets for games.

And my personal favorite, a glance at the cheerleader on a ticket. Guy said "Hot isn't she?" I reply, "Yeah right. THAT WAY." Points. Try harder dumbass.
