Well, like I said later, I mentioned Ronnie's lesbianism because I know that's *why* she's treated the way she is, but they didn't actually say anything about it. (I guess either they are aware that doing so in public could get them kicked out or because they're not very good at insults.) They were just loud, obnoxious, and inconsiderate and harassing us with persistence, but hate was not provably involved.

I don't feel comfortable demanding cops/lawyers unless I'd been refused help, and though I will speak up if it happens again, at the time I just wanted to protect my sister and get her out of there...

That's really sweet that you're there to support your "sister" even when no one else will. It must make her feel good that she's got you to turn to when she needs someone the most (and someone who is even willing to stand up for her).

Screw those loud-mothed, Paris Hilton wannabees. They were probably just a bunch of show-offs, playing cute, when it was clear their real intentions were to be obnoxious.

Due to your "sister" having to work for everything (including acceptance), she will grow up to be successful and probably has a wonderful personality, whereas, those other girls probably have the personality of a brick (no offense to bricks). (As seen in the recent South Park episode the List, where Stan goes through a somewhat, kind of similar ordeal . . .).
This area is left blank for a reason.

gunsage: I learned a long time ago that violence never teaches "victims" their lessons and only makes those who could've helped you turn against you. It feels helpless not to be able to use it, but it's even worse after you have. That's the only reason why I've gotten good at walking away, but this and some other incidents as of late have made me begin to think that just walking away might not be exactly the right thing either...
Wow... I'm going to post a link to the lyrics to a Kenny Rogers song. Sorry about that

There's a truth in those words, though. It's a sad truth, too. Sometimes, you gotta fight. The trick is knowing when it's the only option that's left. That's the hard part.

Can't say I'm too sure of my ability to know that myself.

I am so sorry your sister had to endure that.

People really disgust me at times.

I can't really offer any better advice than what has already been said.
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

Real lifeis going to hit these girls incredibly hard when they leave school, let tehm try that at a College campus, or at the workplace. They might end up trying it on a random stranger, now *that* would be worth purchasing tickets for.

Can I just say I dearly love that song? Two days after I heard it I kicked my first ass. People in my school got real polite to me after that. Not all, but enough.
                :\OT:

As to the girls, I would have at least poured drinks in their laps before leaving. But then, I also want to do manly, testosterone-filled bad things to the little jerks. I'll send good thoughts your sister's way, as I can't see a better way out for her right now, other than just sticking it out.

Not in the lap, over the head, it makes the make up run and the hair frizzy.

Japanese restaurant, but only remembered at the last minute that she gets sick when she eats Chinese food
                    lolwut
                    You probably meant Asian food.

Surprisingly, there aren't many girls I know at my school who are like that.
They love gay people. They're kind of, y'know, ditzy, but they're good girls.
And it's a Catholic school. Go figure.

Thanks for all the well-wishes! Karma_gypsy's post even made me tear up a bit.

Lol, I love the tab idea. I'll have to remember that.

As for Japanese/Chinese/Asian, she always says "Chinese" and "can't eat," so I kind of assume that she means your typical take-out place, so whatever is in it that upsets her body might not be found in a really nice Japanese place, but I didn't want to risk it. (Even if it meant sacrificing my desire for calamari. )

Possibly the monosodium glutamate. A lot of people have bad reactions to that, which is why some restaurants advertise that they use "No MSG".

Sorry your evening was spoiled by a bunch of high-school-with-primary-school-maturity brats. Herd mentality at work again; I'd bet if it was only one or two of them, you wouldn't have had any problem. I'm honestly not sure what the best course of action would be, except not sinking to their level.

BTW, what is your avatar? I've been looking at that picture and cannot figure it out.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

food: That's kind of my initial thought because she "can't eat" Mexican food, either (although, for different reasons; Mex gives her seriously upset stomach a few days later, she doesn't really say what the problem with Chinese food is), except I didn't think many places used it anymore. Usually, those places that believe they need "extra flavoring for American tastes" pour chicken grease over everything (ew, nasty). So, I dunno, but I'm not gonna make her test it just to satisfy my preferences (my favorite food ethnicities are Asian, Mexican, and whatever region is credited w/ falafel & hummus).

avatar: It's a bunny w/ a spiked collar. Several years ago, there was an ad in the paper for carpet that had a bunny w/ a spiked collar that said "soft & tough" (or something like that), and I immediately scanned & stylized it and used it for lots of stuff. Many years and lost files later, though, all I have left is this hard-to-decipher icon.

Napoleana - hind sight is always 20/20. Please do not beat yourself up. You were put in a situation you have never been in before. I give you a standing ovation for putting your sisters happiness and comfort above all. It isn't always easy to do among siblings and that realationship is so important to get through life if you can get it.
Really my mention of speaking to someone about moving was to have as an idea for the future. Not to come across as well why didn't you do this or that.
Your sister only has a few more months of that horrible school left. The best thing you can do is exactly what you are doing. Making sure your sister knows that someone supports and loves her for being her as she truly is. I wish both of you good luck and strength.
(Just remember in the back of your mind . . .anything your sister accomplishes in her life will be because she earned it . . .did the work herself. As for those stupid little brats. . . most likely they will never be able to feel that sense of accomplishment. (if they achieve it will be because they were being bullies or paid someone or even take credit away from someone else))

lol. I knew that's what you meant, but thanks. ^.^

And I guess I should mention that she's not really my sibling. Hence the initial "" around "sister." I just get tired of explaining it and don't feel it matters that much. But no, she's the sister I choose. My real sibling is a jerk, and hers is nearly a decade older and lives in Hawaii. He doesn't know I've been rummaging through his comics. ^.~
