Lol, I can submit a story from the other side. I went to Denny's last night and the waitress swore up and down that they didn't have seltzer water. Of all things. Considering that my BF and I go there once a week or more, and he always gets club soda with a lemon, I think we know they have it.

Of course she comes over later embarassed with a glass of it -lol-

Seltzer, soda water, and then club soda. All common terms up here She didn't get it with each term.. and she knew what it referred to, she just thought they didn't have it.

Maybe I'm thinking of the Sam's Club brand...

No. You didn't. Because I've worked here more than three years now, and we have NEVER SOLD IT in that time.

And then after them arguing that I couldn't possibly know what we stock in a shop I spend 37 and 3/4 hours a week in, and is small enough to walk slowly around in about 15 minutes, they say 'I bought it in the one in the mall!'. Which of course leads to me saying 'That's not us. That's our competition.'
