Hi all, hope you like my stories 'cause here's another.......from the shack!

Shortly after I began my career at the Shack (in 2000), we sold Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) and Sprint phones. We didn't sell very many (probably one or two per month as it was just my GM and I at the time. I got a goody to share:

Me - the tired Shackie
CPW - Cellular Phone Woman

In walks CPW (a 20ish woman), and she goes right to our phones. She'd been in before, wondering if we had any Nokia phones in stock, and at the time we didn't. She left kind of upset but eh, what can ya do?

CPW - do you have any of those Nokia phones in?

Me - let me go check (runs into back, sees none)
no, sorry we don't have any in right now.

CPW - whyyyyy not? Last time I was in you were out! (in a whiny voice)

Me - i'm sorry, but they seem to be out of stock

CPW (getting whinier) - but i waaaant one!

Me - i'm sorry, can I take down your number and call you when we get one in?

CPW - do you know when you're getting any in?

Me - no, sorry.....let me call another store (calls the 2 closest stores, no luck)

CPW - do you have a phone book so i can call other places?

me - sorry, no i don't

CPW (now crying) but i wanted a nokia phone and i can't have one now!! (runs out crying)

I've cried over a lot of stupid things in my time, but to my credit I did most of that crying when I was below the age of 10.

its like one time a lady called in at KFC and complained that she didnt get her gravy, we offred her a creidt and that stuff and she just said no thanks and just wanted us to know she didnt get her gravy. all the while crying about it on the phone. its gravy! crap from bottom of the cookers and flour! come on!
