    Answers simple

refuse to clean fecal matter without appropriate equipment, chemicals and training. (small face masks and gloves just won't do)

See how long management will last with crap all over the floor.

oh trust me, i was not the one doing the cleaning. it was a manager. if anyone ever asks me to clean something like that up, sorry, im walking out the door. "clean up crew" is not in my job description, nor should it be. this is the other half of the reason we need to have cameras like every other B&N. the first, obviously, being thieveses. we are the only store in the region that doesn't.

Bet if your manager was the one cleaning up after, that woman would get banned in a heartbeat.

In addition to all the other reasons given, - and I could be totally wrong here - but aren't there laws about "proper" disposal (ie. with special equipment, not just a shovel & bleach) of bodily waste? Or is that just blood?

Unless management wants to get in some serious.....Pooh , they cannot and should not force you to clean up fecal matter, urine, blood, sperm, etc etc etc.

If they do, call OSHA. Or in this case, OSHA and a Hazmat team.

I would leave an annonymous tip with OSHA that a customer is notorious for trailing pooh all over the store and management forces employees to clean it up without proper "gear", and it's been stated that this person will not be banned.

How the hell does someone shit themselves, drag it 100 feet across a likely crowded store, still make their way to the bathroom, leave, and NOT slam their face into a glass window for being such a disgusting social defect?
Perhaps they get old, lose control of their functions, and don't know they did it?

Or maybe they're a sociopath and don't care.
