a customer the other week complained that when she swiped her card to complete the order it was in Spanish. I spin the pin pad around, and lo, it was in Spanish. I can fix this, clear the system, set it back to English. "Scan your card again miss." *swipe* "You said it was in English! It's in Spanish again! I thought you fixed it!" Looking again it's in Spanish, interesting, clear the system, set to English, here you go miss.

Now I'm watching, she looks at the screen and says
"It's still in Spanish! What's wrong with you can't you fix this thing?"

It'd be somewhat understandable if she actually needed to press anything . . .

Occasionally I'll press the wrong button due to a height issue. I'm 6'-2" and some machines will display options on the side of the screen with etched/grooved lines in the facing going to the respective button. Unfortunate for me, the height difference causes a perspective shift, especially if the screen is inset some, so that the options line up perfectly with the wrong button. Thankfully most companies seem to be aware of this and if it's a yes/no response needed, there's at least one dead button between the two live ones.
