<snip>I failed a shop too, once, and myself AND my manager are convinced that it was completely falsified. Everything the shopper put on the report is something I have never, and WOULD never do. It was ridiculous. I don't get why they're trying to make it so hard on us instead of just doing their job... reporting their experience in an unbiased way.
My BF's fast food place got a couple horrible shopper's report on their parking lot (it was filled with trash) & that John Doe on the Drive Thru was incredibly rude.

What was funny was the manager calling corporate to ask how their parking lot & drive thru could be so bad when their store didn't have either. Due to the peculiarity of the town where said franchise store was located, it was a freestanding (non-mall food court) store but had no parking, etc. It was sandwiched between two other shops on main street. It was such a peculiar situation that they had to explain it to corporate at least once a quarter.
I'm sorry, the person to whom you were speaking has been replaced by a recording. Please leave your message at the sound of the beep.

Uh, no. That's not possible, as you don't have a place to actually *shop* mystery shoppers. The best you could do is "Mystery employee", which I doubt most people would be willing to put in the effort.

I feel fortunate that my company has some strict guidelines in place for our mystery shoppers.

They can never come on a weekend (we're too swamped to give the uber-stellar service the company expects of us when its slower) and they will always give you several chances to do the right thing.

For example, if you neglect to ask if they want an add-on (which we're always supposed to do), they're told to stand at the counter and look closely at our corkscrews and bottle stoppers for a minute. If an employee sees that and STILL doesn't say, "Are you interested in one of those? Let me show you how they work" then they really do deserve a bad score.

These guidelines are corporate's recognition that there are always extenuating circumstances (like we're busy or the customer is just too rushed to be up-sold), but that we will give great service to the customer that has the time and desire for it.

If you have to ask, it's probably better posted at www.fratching.com

We have guidelines for our secret shoppers also. Number one guideline being that they MUST be a woman. You might be asking yourself "isnt that kind of sexist?" Well...not really....one of the questions on the secret shop is whether we offer a bra fitting or not. So yeah...that wouldnt work out too well if it were a man......

I was about to offer my services. That said, mine are pert enough not to need a bra.

Me: Good morning! Welcome to __________ if there is anything I can help you with please let me know!
SC: lets get one thing straight...you work in retail because you dont have the intelligence to do anything else...unless I ask you a question keep your mouth shut
Fine, I'll let these do the talking:

She was beyond rude. "Bitch" is too kind of a word for her.

Im not getting written up for anything...my co worker (another assitant manager) was there to back me up when the boss called. Shes going to call the mystery shopper's corporation and file a formal complaint about her. I honestly love the company I work for
I love the company you work for, too! Nice to have coworkers and managers who back you up. So...did the hag get fired, or what happened?
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

Ah, but Raps could do the mystery shop, since he has been known to buy them. Well one. http://www.customerssuck.com/board/s...ad.php?t=19081

And in explaining the joke, it ceases to be amusing.
