Yesterday, I ruined Christmas for no less then 8 people because we're out of Christmas trees. Yup, my fault for not making sure we put some asides for the smart people trying to get their tree at the last minute.
On top of that, I've had two calls go like this:
Me: Thank for you calling random hardware.
Customer: How much are your sleds?
and one for:
Me: Thank you for calling random hardware
Customer: What's the price on your GT Snow Racers?
Honestly, do they still even make those things?
And the one I heard from the guys on the floor:
Customer asks if he can come back at 6 to pick up his stuff.
Customer gets told we close at 5.
Customer then goes on a Boondock Saints-esque swear rant about the lack of Christmas hours.
The two people serving him walk away, and come back with seven more who then escort him out of the store.
I'm just glad I don't have to deal with the idiots trying to return their Christmas decor items AFTER the 23rd. Our policy is: no refunds on Christmas stock after 23rd. Exchange only if product has a MANUFACTURERS defect. If they claim lights don't work, they get tested in store. 99% of the time they still work.
