Yesterday, a customer was rung up for kiwanos instead of kiwis. He mentioned that he was charged more than he should've been and acted like I didn't know what I was doing. He even wanted to see the amount that had been charged to his credit card even though it was on his receipt. He insisted on seeing the slip he signed which I had to wait a few seconds for since the checker was in the middle of a transaction.
I refunded his kiwanos to his credit card. He wanted to see how much was now on his credit card so I subtracted the original total from the return amount. I told him that amount was not counting the kiwis. I rang him up for the kiwis and he charged them to his credit card. I had to show him the receipts to prove that he was now charged the correct amount. I apologized for what happened and he seem satisfied and left.
