In my house, not being dressed means we are still in our pajamas. I have heard my husband tell people that I couldn't come to the door because I wasn't dressed.

I never thought anyone would really think I was running around naked.

I also am not "dressed" when I am in my PJs but that is generally not a reason to not come to the door. I sleep in shorts and a tank or tshirt so I will usually just throw on my robe.

I doubt the sup is being mean. More then the likely the customer wasn't going to do what they said they would. Plus most departments unless they have proof don't like to get involved in other areas.
