    So this happened to me on Monday, New Years Eve So here is what happened.


    SC: I need an new Authorization Key for __________ firewall.
    ME: you will need to email the licensing department there email address is licensing@__________.com make sure you include the serial number in the email.
    SC: how long does it take them to reply?
    ME: I am not sure I don't think they have to many people working today as we are all running on a skeleton crew.
    SC: but how long is it going to take?
    ME: I don't know the time frames seeing as it is New Years Eve it might not be until January 2nd
    SC: My client called me 2 weeks ago he needs this firewall back up by the end of the year, is there a phone number I can call to get this done?
    ME; So wait you have known for 2 weeks that you needed this by the end of the year and you wait until the LAST DAY of the year?
    SC: Can't I just order a whole new license for them?
    ME: You are not going to be able to get a new license today if you only order it today. Your best bet would be to email licensing.
    SC: Never mind I guess you can't help me I'll just call and talk to someone else *click*


    How can someone think that they can wait until the last minute when they have known for 2 weeks about the problem and then yell at me for it?

    Because that would require *thinking the problem through*, and we can't expect customers to actually think, can we?
    I question my sanity every day. Sometimes it answers.
