When I was at Store 1, I have a customer who was trying to rush me when I was discounting something. I assumed he was trying to distract me into giving him a bigger discount or messing it up so he'd have something to complain about. In a fit of inspiration I stopped, gave him by best dirty look and said "Sir, I'm new, if you just quiet down for a minute, I can figure this out, or I can stop and have my manager come finish this for you, but it might take awhile to get the manager over here." The guy quieted down and let me finish. As soon as he walked away the next customer in line started cracking up. He said he could believe the guy bought that seeing as I had my store keys and 1 year badge clipped to my apron.
