I would so find out where that guy lives.....
    or where he works?

naw ... we can't really advocate being SCs to SCs i guess.

but i'd say talk to someone in charge about what your options are. it's stupid that you would get written up for a lie. what's to stop the guy from coming in and lying 2 more times just to get you?

Sad to say in today's retail environment, that is becoming more the more common attitude. They'll believe anything a customer says about an employee but the employee complains that they feel a customer is being nasty to them it's dismissed as not important. Employees are expendable and SCs are valued. Go figure.
I'd expect it to get worse. The economy is slowing down and people don't have as much money to spend, so I bet there'll be a greater emphasis on satisfying and retaining every customer, no matter how much of a PITA they may be, so that they come back and keep spending money.

Well, as an optimist, I'd say that companies would realize they need a better value customer, and that with people spending less money, they can't afford to subsidize the EW getting a refund on those 10 year old jeans. They'd also need a better value employee, which means not having a new crop of trainees every 2 weeks, since training costs money, and then new employees don't have the knowledge or skills (usually) to go as fast as a veteran employee.

And yes, the sky is a lovely shade of periwinkle.
