As this is my first post "Hi, everyone!" And Rapscallion thank you for your wonderful help in getting my account set up.
Now onto the story:
One of my many jobs is at a clothing store. Great place to work at actually, but this incident floored me. I literally had no response for about a minute.
Now, I am usually a cashier but today I assigned to just work on recovery but to do certain things I still had to go up to the cash wrap. As I was walking up, I saw one of my fellow co-workers pick-up a pair of jeans, go ewwww, and throw them down and then proceed the hand sanitizer.
Curious, I ask what the matter was when I finally make it up to the cash wrap.
<NOTICE ONE SHOULD NOT HAVE LIQUID OR FOOD IN THEIR MOUTHS AT THIS POINT>
I get told that these were a pair of jeans that someone left in the fitting room with their underwear in them.
No, you don't have to re-read that. I did actually type underwear.
Now, I get leaving small things (cell phone, sunglasses) in the fitting room, if I'm being generous maybe a shirt if the customer was wearing two, but your underwear?!?!
Like I said, I couldn't even respond for a minute and the first thing out of my mouth was "ewwww." The second was "How does someone forget their underwear?"
Also, for anyone who wants to know, yes the jeans were bloopered out (is that even a word?) and sent back as unsellable.
