    Funny you should mention that, one of the WoW bosses, who gains strength after defeating a player actually has the same level up effect as a player as well. Usually it's something corny that he says like "I grow stronger the more you fall! or something similar. On a rare occasion he will shout "DING!" as well.
    I'm a big World of Warcraft fan. I love the online game. I love the lore behind the game, too, especially all the spots in the world that you can recognize as being major event spots if you played Warcraft III.

    The boss in WoW who yells "Ding!" (and I about fell out of my chair laughing the first time I ran in that raid) is Bloodlord Mandokir, in Zul Gurub. Not only does he yell it, but any bosses for that dungeon that haven't already been defeated shout back "grats" to him.

      Guess which one I play :P

      Ding is pretty universal now, if you play an MMO, any of them, you'll run into it eventually.
