I was trying to look up pro consumer sites as I was curious about them when I stumbled across this wonderful gem from the Office of Fair Trading. Basically it is where consumers can go when they have disputes with retails. Basically they were giving the myths and facts relating to consumers rights, although there was some stuff that made go wtf, this one redeemed those little oversights.
And here it is:
Customer rights myth
‘The customer is always right.’
Customer rights fact
Customers sometimes do get it wrong.
But the fact remains that well-informed consumers have a far better chance of successfully asserting their rights.
I do also agree with the second bit, we all have a right to not be ripped off by a dodgy company but we must all keep that first sentence in mind.
