Without going into too much detail:
A mom and her child go into one of our stores (not the one I work at). Tries to buy stuff with a credit card, it gets declined. Decides to apply for our store credit card and gets declined.
Mother proceeds to leave the store and mall WITHOUT her child. Child (two years old), is still IN THE STORE!!
Police, responding to a disturbance call at a local hotel find the mother there.
She is being held, undergoing psychiatric evaluation. The child is in protective services.
