Let me start off by saying that I work in a Casino. I am a cage cashier. Most believe this not to be retail but I kiss butt and deal with ppl all day. That to me qualifies as retail.
You don't have to work in retail to understand that some Customers Suck. On these boards, we have restaurant workers, hotel workers, hospital workers, even other casino workers. As well as some other occupations I've forgotten.

Back OT, how can anyone think a casino is an okay place to bring children? With all the money they're dropping down those machines, you think they could afford to spare a little to hire a babysitter and keep the children safe at home!

Don't even get me started on s who leave their children all day in parked cars. I've made many posts on that subject on these boards.

I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

A couple of weeks ago, at the bar where my daughter works, there was a woman having some drinks.

We have known this chick for years, and she has, at times, worked with both my husband and daughter at various restuarants.

Anyway, my daughter discovered that the dumb bitch had left her little baby sleeping in the car, while she was proceeding to get quite drunk on the patio of the bar.

For the most part, the car was within view, but there were several times when she went inside to the washroom, or to visit with buddies.

      My daughter was really angry.
She went over to her and proceeded to tell her off for leaving her baby in the car.
The woman said to my daughter, "You need to learn some manners. That is none of your business."

I think one of the other patrons finally convinced the chick to leave, and they drove her home, but my daughter was very tempted to call the police and child services. I am really surprised that she didn't, knowing my daughter.

This same woman has already had her other children taken, apparently. I know she had 2 other children, and when I saw she was pregnant again, I was pretty disgusted.
There was one day when she and her boyfriend were in our store shopping, and they both reeked of booze.
      This was before lunch, even.
They had 2 small children with them, and were driving only a pickup truck with, I am assuming, enough seatbelts for 2 or 3 people at the most. (Most pickups don't seat 4 people. This was not one with an extended cab.)

I called the police to report them as they were leaving. They left to go to the fast food place next door. A police car responded, but I think he got tired of waiting for them to leave and get in the car. By the time they came out, the police were gone. (I am thinking they saw the car waiting and weren't going to move until he was gone.)
I was more than a little ticked.
It pisses me off that she still hasn't learned her lesson.
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

*sigh* I remember times my bro and I would sit on the wheel well in the back of the truck with no problems.

I'm totally disgusted with people who leave kids in the car just to gamble/drink/etc anything longer than a minute, at least the OP's SC brought them in with her.

Why would she be gambling with children there anyway??
Why? Because most state legislatures makes exceptions to all the age rules and allow a parent to decide to let Junior do whatever the law bans as long as the parent is present and giving permission. Those legislatures don't want to be seen as telling a parent how to raise his/her child. Parents from those states therefore cannot fathom that the state they are visiting might have a spine when it comes to laws regarding minors.
